Allegion to acquire access control manufacturer ELATEC in $382 million deal

DUBLIN—Allegion, a global security products and solutions provider, through one of its subsidiaries, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ELATEC, including Elatec GmbH and other group entities, from Summit Partners for €330 million ($382 million) on a cash-free, debt-free basis.
Allegion expects to fund the acquisition through a combination of cash on hand and borrowings under its existing revolving credit facility.

Richard Ginsburg named CEO of Central Security Group

TULSA, Okla.—Super-regional security company Central Security Group today named Richard Ginsburg as CEO. Ginsburg, who as CEO of Protection 1 grew it into one of the top three security companies in the country from 2001 to 2010, said he wants to grow CSG into a “significantly larger company.”
“The goal is absolutely to turn CSG into a national company,” Ginsburg told Security Systems News.

Central Security Group: Equity infusion will aid growth

TULSA, Okla.—A Boston-based growth equity investor has acquired Central Security Group, one of the nation's top full-service providers of security alarm monitoring services.
Summit Partners announced its investment in Central Security on Nov. 1. Summit acquired the company, which is headquartered here, from Great Hill Partners, another private equity firm in Boston. Great Hill acquired Central Security in 2005.
