Brivo, Bioscrypt partner on access control

ARLINGTON, Va.-Brivo Systems has signed a marketing collaboration with Bioscrypt Inc., a fingerprint authentication technology developer. Together the companies will offer a web-based biometric physical access control security solution, which company officials say is the first of its kind. The product is expected to be launched during the first quarter of this year. The deal will combine Bioscrypt's Veri-Series line of fingerprint biometric readers with the Brivo Access Control System, an access control system that is networked out of the box by using a secure wireless wide area network to communicate to its professionally managed application hosting center. "The combined offering of Brivo and Bioscrypt will deliver highly effective technologies to address today's security concerns," said Mark Stein, president and chief operating officer of Brivo. "Teaming up allows the two companies to leverage our core technologies and expand our markets." For Bioscrypt, the partnership enables it to team with cutting-edge technology providers to bring cost-effective and easy to manage biometric access control solutions to the security market, according to Julia Webb, vice president of marketing for Bioscrypt.
