Feenics announces latest update to cloud-hosted access control platform

OTTAWA, Canada—Feenics, a provider of Access Control as a Service (ACaaS) solutions based here, recently announced the availability of the August 2020 update of its Keep by Feenics cloud-hosted access control platform.

The August 2020 update of Keep by Feenics features new functionality, including support for single sign-on authentication and scheduled reports.

“We are thrilled that our latest update includes features highly desired by our customers,” Feenics Chief Technology Officer Hanna Farah said in the announcement. “The new single sign-on capability allows our customers to streamline the user authentication process into Keep, reduces password fatigue, and provides a tighter integration with their backend IT systems. Combined with multi-factor authentication capability enabled through the customer’s backend IT security stack, a single sign-on approach offers a solid one-two punch in combating malicious cyber activity.”

Farah noted that Feenics added the ability to automate report generation and distribution. “Scheduling reports streamlines administrative processes and as a bonus, managers will conveniently have reports automatically routed to their inboxes,” he said.

Additional features available with the August 2020 update of Keep include the ability to share access levels from the customer enterprise root instance down through shared instances (tenant) and support for ASSA Abloy’s Aperio line of wireless locks. Lastly, the Keep infrastructure has been updated to run on top of Microsoft’s .Net Core to facilitate better overall system performance and cross platform support.
