Integrators take center stage at PSA TEC

Integrators take center stage at PSA TEC

Each year, there are a handful of industry events I genuinely look forward to - not just because of the conversations that happen on the show floor, but because of who the event is truly built for. PSA TEC is one of those events.

Taking place this week at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Denver, PSA TEC – at its core - is an integrator-focused conference, and that matters. In an industry where integrators are navigating rapid technology shifts, ongoing labor challenges and evolving customer expectations, having an event designed specifically around their needs feels more important than ever.

What truly sets PSA TEC apart is its intentional emphasis on collaboration, education and peer-to-peer learning. From technical deep dives and business strategy sessions to informal hallway conversations with fellow integrators, vendors and industry leaders, the event consistently delivers practical takeaways that can be put to use immediately. It’s less about flash and more about substance - a format that resonates strongly with the integrator community.

As editor of Security Systems News, I spend much of my time talking with integrators about what’s keeping them up at night and where they see the industry heading. Increasingly, those conversations center around convergence, recurring revenue strategies, managed services, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven video, and how to differentiate in a crowded marketplace. PSA TEC provides a forum where those issues aren’t just discussed, but actively workshopped.

I’m also particularly looking forward to presenting the Integrator of the Year/Bill Bozeman Awards at PSA TEC for the fifth straight year.

Recognizing integrators who are excelling - whether through strong growth, operational excellence, workforce development or community impact - is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. These awards aren’t just about financial performance - they reflect leadership, resilience and a long-term commitment to doing things the right way.

What I appreciate most is that PSA TEC creates space to celebrate peers in front of peers. Being recognized by fellow integrators carries a different weight, and it reinforces the collaborative spirit that defines this organization and its membership. It’s a reminder that, despite competitive pressures, this remains a remarkably supportive industry.

Another reason PSA TEC continues to resonate is the access it provides - to speakers, to decision-makers, and to candid conversations you might not have elsewhere. It’s an environment where integrators can ask tough questions, share lessons learned and leave with a clearer sense of direction.

From an editorial standpoint, PSA TEC is also a pulse check on where the integrator community stands. What topics are getting the most attention? What solutions are generating real interest? What challenges are becoming universal? The answers help guide our coverage and ensure that Security Systems News remains aligned with what integrators truly care about.

As the industry continues to evolve, integrator-centered events like PSA TEC play a critical role in keeping the community informed, connected and prepared for what’s next.

I’m excited to once again be part of the conversation - to listen, to learn and to celebrate the integrators who are helping move this industry forward.

If you’re attending PSA TEC, I look forward to seeing you there.
