MILWAUKEE—BAYCOM, a provider of mission-critical communication and security solutions, has announced the appointment of Katie Miner as president.

Miner brings more than 25 years of financial, operational, and strategic leadership experience to the role, reinforcing BAYCOM’s commitment to its customers and the communities it serves. Most recently, Miner was president of QComp Technologies. Both BAYCOM and QComp are OwnersEdge operating companies.

BAYCOMMiner’s appointment is a strategic decision to directly support BAYCOM’s continued growth and increased autonomy within the OwnersEdge portfolio. Having held leadership roles across the portfolio, including supporting BAYCOM during its integration and growth, Miner steps into the role with a clear understanding of the business, the team, and the responsibility that comes with serving customers in high-stakes environments.

“Katie is a proven leader who knows BAYCOM inside and out,” said Rob Dillon, CEO of OwnersEdge. “She has a unique ability to authentically connect with people while driving accountability at every level of an organization. As BAYCOM continues to grow, it needs a leader who can drive operational efficiency while preserving the differentiated sales and service experience customers have come to expect. Katie is unequivocally that leader.”

With locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois, BAYCOM has been working with police, firefighters, EMS, and other public safety organizations since 1956. The 100% employee-owned ESOP company has grown significantly, adding nearly 3,000 new customers in the past five years, including public safety agencies, schools, healthcare institutions, manufacturers, construction companies, and other businesses.

“I’m honored to step into this role at BAYCOM,” said Miner. “This team does critical work, and every interaction matters. My focus is on supporting our people and ensuring we continue to show up for our customers with the reliability and responsiveness they expect.”

Miner emphasized that employee ownership shapes how she approaches leadership and decision-making.

“Ownership changes everything,” she said. “When you’re an employee owner, you lead with a deeper sense of responsibility. You think about the long term. You communicate openly, and you make decisions knowing they affect not just the business, but the people and communities we serve.”
