Brian ModglinST. LOUIS—RapidFire Safety & Security has acquired El Paso, Texas-based Black Fire & Security Services, expanding its footprint in the Southwest and adding complementary life safety and compliance services to its portfolio.

Founded in 2020, Black Fire & Security provides fire protection, electronic security and life safety solutions for commercial customers. The company also offers fire extinguisher inspections and kitchen exhaust hood cleaning services, capabilities that RapidFire said will strengthen its position as a comprehensive life safety provider.

The acquisition expands RapidFire's presence in West Texas and broadens its ability to deliver recurring inspection, compliance and training services across the region.

“We are pleased to welcome Black Fire & Security in El Paso to the RapidFire family,” Brian Modglin, chief operating officer of RapidFire Safety & Security, said in a statement. “This acquisition strengthens our presence in the Southwest and supports our continued growth as a leading provider of fire, life safety and security solutions.”

RapidFire said Black has built a reputation for providing personalized service and practical solutions designed to help customers protect people, property and assets. The company said Black's customers will continue working with their local team while gaining access to additional resources and expertise through the larger organization.

In addition to electronic security and fire alarm services, the deal adds specialized inspection and maintenance offerings that complement RapidFire's existing life safety portfolio.

“We are excited to support their continued success while bringing additional resources and operational strength to customers throughout the Southwest,” Modglin said.

Rick Black, owner of Black Fire & Security, said the acquisition aligns with the company's long-term goals while creating new opportunities for employees and customers.

“When RapidFire approached us about joining their organization, we saw an opportunity that aligned with our long-term vision while creating greater opportunities for our employees and customers,” Black said. “Throughout this process, we were impressed by RapidFire's commitment to its people, service excellence and customer relationships.”

Black said customers will benefit from enhanced resources and support while continuing to receive the service they have come to expect.
