IRVING, Texas—The Electronic Security Association (ESA) has announced Michael Barnes as the recipient of the 2026 Sara E. Jackson Award, one of the association’s highest honors recognizing extraordinary leadership, service, and dedication to the electronic security and life safety industry.
Barnes will be formally recognized during Electronic Security Expo (ESX) 2026 in Irving, Texas.

I came to work this morning to a report of some sad news: John Mabry, a director and past president of the Central Station Alarm Association, died Friday, Nov. 18, in a car crash.
