Allied Universal names Jordan Avnaim global chief information security officer

IRVINE, Calif.—Allied Universal has appointed Jordan Avnaim as global chief information security officer.
In the role, Avnaim will be responsible for the company's global cybersecurity strategy and operations, leading the development and implementation of a risk-based cybersecurity program designed to protect Allied Universal's employees, systems, data and technology platforms from evolving cyber threats.
Avnaim will report to Loretta Cecil, global general counsel, and oversee cybersecurity resources and teams across more than 100 countries and territories where Allied Universal operates.

According to Allied Universal, Avnaim brings more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology risk and regulatory compliance. He has advised boards and executive leadership teams, led enterprise security initiatives and developed programs focused on protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive information.
Prior to joining Allied Universal, Avnaim served as chief information security officer at Hyundai AutoEver America and Entrust Corp. At Entrust, he oversaw the company's global information security program across more than 150 countries, 40 offices and 20 data centers. He also held senior technology risk and information security leadership positions at Capital Group Companies.
"Jordan brings an exceptional combination of cybersecurity leadership, enterprise risk management experience and sound business judgment," Cecil said. "He has demonstrated an ability to translate complex technical risks into clear business priorities, respond effectively when incidents occur and establish accountability across large global organizations."
Avnaim holds a master's degree in management of technology with an emphasis in information security and risk management, as well as a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and mathematics, both from Vanderbilt University. He also holds Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Certified Information Systems Auditor credentials.
