LAS VEGAS—Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) hosted its annual Owners Forum on Tuesday, March 24, one day before the opening of ISC West. The Owners Forum is designed to provide dealers with actionable strategies to grow their businesses.
This year’s theme centered on the power of influence, bringing together world-class experts and industry leaders to explore how persuasion, negotiation and leadership drive profitability. The event was held at Resorts World in Las Vegas.
DMP set a new attendance record at this year’s Owners Forum with nearly 600 attendees, further establishing the gathering as one of the security industry’s premier events.
“The Owners Forum continues to deliver meaningful value by connecting our dealers with ideas they can immediately apply,” said Jon Adams, VP of sales at DMP. “Focusing on influence gave attendees practical tools to improve how they sell, lead and grow.”
Keynote speaker Chris Voss opened the forum. Voss, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) lead hostage negotiator and bestselling author of “Never Split the Difference,” shared real-world negotiation strategies designed to help dealers improve communication, close more business and build stronger customer relationships.
Dr. Robert Cialdini, internationally recognized authority on influence and persuasion, delivered a keynote speech exploring the science behind decision-making and how ethical influence can accelerate business growth and customer loyalty. Comedian and impressionist Frank Caliendo provided entertainment between sessions.
An industry panel moderated by Scott Elkins, CEO of Zeus Fire & Security, discussed current market dynamics, leadership challenges and opportunities for dealers to differentiate in an increasingly competitive field. Panelists included Pam Petrow of Vector Security, Tim Westphal of Bay Alarm and Stanley Oppenheim of DGA Security.
“Combining proven influence strategies and real-world industry insight made this year’s event especially impactful,” said Ken Francis, executive vice president of video solutions at DMP. “Our dealers walked away with perspective and practical ideas they can implement right away.”
The Owners Forum also hosted the Annual DMP Dealer Recognition Awards, honoring top-performing dealers for their achievements and contributions to the DMP network.
