Genetec certifies Pivot3 storage solution

MONTREAL—Genetec, a provider of IP solutions for physical security based here, expanded its list of qualified storage solutions with the certification of Pivot3 vSTAC Watch storage and computer appliances, according to a company statement.
The recently launched program is designed to qualify solutions from storage vendors to ensure optimal use with the Genetec Security Center, the company's unified security platform. The certification of Pivot3 vSTAC Watch gives Genetec customers additional storage choices for the most efficient configuration of their security installations.
“Having undergone a series of stringent procedures by Genetec, as well as technology evaluation, testing, self-validation and training by Pivot3, vSTAC Watch appliances can now be easily and seamlessly integrated with [the Genetec] Security Center,” said George Marrousis, technology alliance manager at Genetec.
By leveraging NVR server applications run on Pivot3 storage, this approach greatly reduces complexities and costs, according to the statement.
