ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Crisis24 has launched a new Digital Executive Protection service designed to help organizations address cybersecurity and privacy risks facing senior executives beyond the corporate environment.
The new offering extends cyber protection measures to executives' personal digital ecosystems, including private devices, home networks, personal accounts, online footprints and family members. The company said the service is intended to address a growing security gap as threat actors increasingly target executives through personal channels that fall outside traditional enterprise security programs.
According to Crisis24, attackers are leveraging personal email accounts, unmanaged home networks and publicly available personal information to facilitate credential theft, impersonation, financial fraud and, in some cases, physical targeting or coercion.
"Attackers know that enterprise cybersecurity often stops at the corporate boundary and are increasingly bypassing enterprise defenses by targeting executives through their personal devices, home networks and families," said Ghonche Alavi, director of cyber at Crisis24. "Digital Executive Protection is designed to close this gap by protecting senior leaders' personal digital environments with the discretion and ease they expect."
Six core capabilities
The service includes six primary components:
- Personal privacy protection, including monitoring of public, commercial and criminal sources, removal of personally identifiable information from more than 200 data brokers, breach alerting and dark web monitoring.
- Home network and device assessments focused on identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security improvements.
- Cybersecurity tabletop exercises for boards and executive teams.
- Cyber awareness training for family members and household staff.
- A dedicated 24/7 response line providing access to Crisis24 cybersecurity personnel.
- CISO advisory services offering strategic cybersecurity guidance and board-level support.
Crisis24 said the service is designed to complement organizations' existing IT and security teams rather than replace them.
Growing board-level concern
The company characterized executive protection as an increasingly important governance and duty-of-care issue for boards of directors, insurers and regulators.
As cyber threats increasingly extend beyond corporate networks, organizations are placing greater emphasis on protecting senior leaders from reputational, financial and physical risks.
Crisis24 said its broader capabilities allow the company to coordinate both cyber and physical security responses when necessary.
Complementary offering for individuals and family offices
Crisis24 said it will continue to offer its CISO On-Demand service through its Private Strategic Group division for high-profile individuals, ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices.
The concierge-style offering can be integrated with personal protection and medical concierge services, while the new Digital Executive Protection program is designed for deployment across corporate leadership teams, including C-suite executives and boards.
