News Poll: New tech, product launches are king at ISC East

YARMOUTH, Maine — What will be the biggest draw to ISC East 2025? Security Systems News (SSN) polled readers for their input. 

Described as the Northeast’s leading security and public safety event, ISC East hosts thousands of security dealers, integrators, installers, consultants and more to showcase the latest industry technology and education. 

As for what's drawing the most attention for this year’s ISC East? Fifty-seven percent of news poll respondents indicated that they’re most interested in exploring new security technologies and product launches. That’s not so shocking, considering 42.86% of respondents indicated that they primarily measure the value of attending the show for the insights gained for upcoming projects or investments. 

“They allow us to see and feel new technology,” wrote one reader. 

That’s not the only goal for ISC East, however. Twenty-eight percent of respondents indicated they are most interested in attending the conference for networking and partnership opportunities. Another 28% are most interested in forming new relationships. 

To a slightly lesser degree, 14.29% of respondents indicated they are most interested in exploring industry trends and market insights at this year’s ISC East. 

In a surprising turn, however, it’s not artificial intelligence (AI) that is expected to generate the most buzz at this year’s ISC East. Forty-two percent of respondents believe that access control and identity management will be the hot topics at the conference. Runners-up in that category were physical security/perimeter defense, and cloud/cyber convergence, both earning 14.29% of votes for most buzzworthy topics. 

Neither professional development nor educational sessions garnered votes in questions about the draw of ISC East or their value at the conference.
