ScanSource introduces new consultant role

GREENVILLE, S.C.—ScanSource POS & Barcode, a distributor of automatic identification and point-of-sale solutions, is expanding the responsibilities of its technical services team with the creation of a Solutions Consultant role, according to a company statement.
Solutions Consultants will serve as experts on high-growth vertical market technologies, including healthcare, mobile point of sale, payment processing, mobile managed services and wireless infrastructure, the statement said. The new role allows resellers to create tailored solutions, or what the company calls “total solutions,” for end-users.
“Our Solutions Consultants work closely with our reseller partners throughout the sales process to help them develop and configure solutions that will help their end-user customers create efficiencies and overcome obstacles,” said Paul Constantine, president, ScanSource POS and Barcode, in the statement.
