Sentry, Azure Access partner on mobile access, post-quantum security

AUSTIN, Texas—Sentry Interactive and Azure Access Technology have partnered to integrate Sentry’s readerless mobile access technology into Azure Access’ new CP Series network controllers, giving customers a streamlined path to mobile credentials while addressing the growing need for post-quantum cybersecurity. The integration embeds Sentry’s software development kit (SDK) directly into Azure Access’ CP Series controllers, allowing organizations to deploy mobile access without replacing existing reader infrastructure. According to the companies, the approach reduces installation costs, simplifies deployments and provides greater flexibility for both new and retrofit projects. Beyond mobile access, the partnership is designed to address future cybersecurity challenges posed by advances in quantum computing, which could eventually threaten conventional encryption methods used across many industries. “The future of access control is embedded mobile access in a post-quantum world,” said Denis Hébert, chairman and CEO of Sentry Interactive. “Quantum computing will fundamentally change the security landscape, and much of our industry isn’t prepared. Rather than waiting for that disruption, Sentry and Azure Access are getting ahead of it. This is about leading the transition, not reacting to it.” Sentry said its platform combines post-quantum cryptography with a readerless architecture that isolates the mobile credential security layer, helping organizations protect against evolving cyber threats while maintaining deployment flexibility. For Azure Access, the integration expands the capabilities of its CP Series controller platform and gives dealers, integrators and end users another option for deploying mobile access without the expense and complexity of replacing existing readers. “Our partnership with Sentry Interactive gives Azure Access customers and installation partners more ways to deploy mobile access without the traditional cost and complexity of replacing reader infrastructure,” said Evan Zinger, general manager of Azure Access Technology. “By incorporating Sentry’s technology into our controllers, we’re expanding installation flexibility while offering advanced credential security designed for the future.” The companies said the partnership will provide security professionals with greater choice in implementing mobile access while helping organizations prepare for the next generation of cybersecurity threats.
