AUSTIN, Texas—Prometheus Security Group Global (PSG) announced it has achieved multiple UL certifications and listings across its Zero Trust physical security platform, spanning hardware, software, access control and commercial security applications.
The certifications cover PSG's DESI digitally encrypted security interfaces, Universal Field Panel (UFP) hardware and LINX Predator Elite software, validating key components of the company's cyber-physical security architecture from edge devices through command-and-control software.
According to PSG, the certifications provide independent verification of the performance, reliability and safety of technology used to authenticate and secure data generated by field devices, including sensors, locks, readers and other physical security components.
"Achieving UL certification across our platform is an important milestone for PSG and for our customers," said Rick Gross, CEO and co-founder of PSG. "We built our architecture around the premise that trust must begin at the source, including the physical devices at Purdue Levels 0 and 1. By extending Zero Trust cybersecurity principles to physical security devices at the far edge, we establish verification in the data before it enters the broader security ecosystem."
Among the certifications is UL 294, which evaluates access control system performance, including resistance to physical and electrical tampering, line security, standby power operation and endurance. The listing applies to multiple PSG products, including its Security Command Center (SCC), DESI devices and Universal Field Panel offerings.
PSG also received certification under UL 2610, which covers commercial security and burglar alarm units. Testing evaluated capabilities such as signal transmission integrity, line monitoring, resistance to spoofing attacks and fault reporting.
In addition, PSG hardware achieved compliance with UL 62368-1, which addresses electrical and product safety requirements through hazard-based safety engineering principles.
The company said the certifications reinforce its strategy of applying Zero Trust principles to physical security devices and communications, helping organizations establish verified device identity and authenticated security events from the source. For systems integrators, consultants and end users, UL-listed products can simplify equipment selection and support Authority Having Jurisdiction reviews, particularly in government, critical infrastructure and other high-security environments.
"PSG technology was originally engineered for some of the nation's highest-security environments, where reliability, resilience and the repudiation of every security event are critical," said Jeremy Freeze-Skret, vice president of engineering and co-founder of PSG. "That same engineering foundation that is available to organizations protecting critical infrastructure and other high-security environments is now available to a broader commercial audience. These UL certifications provide additional independent validation of the performance and resilience built into the platform."
