Mappedin integrates with Brivo to bring unified security operations to indoor maps

MappedinWATERLOO, Ontario—Mappedin has announced a technology integration with Brivo that brings access control and video management capabilities directly into Mappedin Security Center, creating a unified, map-based security operations platform for enterprise and campus environments. The integration combines Brivo's cloud-based access control and video management capabilities with Mappedin's interactive indoor mapping technology, allowing security teams to visualize and manage security events within a spatial context. According to the companies, the integration enables users to view access control events in real time on interactive maps, monitor live video feeds from Brivo-connected cameras based on their physical locations, correlate access and video events, and configure map-based alerts for security incidents. Additional capabilities include managing lockdowns and emergency responses from the map interface while monitoring building-wide security status through unified dashboards. “Security teams need to know what is happening, and more importantly, specifically where it is happening and what resources are nearby,” said Brian McIlravey, director of enterprise security and public safety at Mappedin. “Our partnership with Brivo provides a layer of intelligence for security operators and responders so that they can make faster, more informed decisions. Together we’re delivering better safety outcomes for our customers.” The integration leverages Brivo's open API platform and Mappedin's software development kit (SDK) to connect Brivo-managed access points and cameras with their corresponding locations on interactive 3D indoor maps. The companies said the solution supports multi-building and multi-floor deployments and can scale from individual facilities to large campuses. “Security events don’t happen in dashboards; they happen in physical spaces,” said Tijmen Vos, vice president of product at Brivo. “By combining Brivo’s unified access control and video platform with Mappedin’s indoor mapping technology, we’re giving security teams the spatial context they need to act faster and smarter. It’s another step toward making physical security more connected, intelligent and actionable.” The Mappedin-Brivo integration is available immediately for customers using Brivo’s cloud-based access control platform and Mappedin Security Center.
