Verkada reaches $5.8B valuation with investment from CapitalG

SAN MATEO, Calif. — Verkada, a provider of AI-powered physical security technology, has announced CapitalG is leading an investment at a $5.8 billion valuation - an increase of $1.3 billion since the announcement of its Series E in February.

Verkada expects the investment will accelerate its AI capabilities and may also enable liquidity for employees as the company surpasses $1 billion in annualized bookings.

In a separate blog post, Verkada discussed having introduced more than 60 of its newest and most significant AI features and platform updates like AI-Powered Unified Timeline and Operator View that make proactive deterrence, real-time response, and rapid investigations dramatically more efficient. The post acknowledges the security industry heading towards an agentic future where AI-powered security improves safety and simplifies operations.
