Game point: Henry Brothers secures contract for USC sports complex

NEW YORK - Henry Brothers Electronics, a subsidiary of Diversified Security Solutions, landed a contract in mid-April to install an integrated security system for the University of Southern California's new Galen Center.
The center, which is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in the fall of 2006, will be a 10,230-square-foot facility that will host an estimated 150 events per year, including USC's men's and women's basketball and volleyball games.

LAS VEGAS - Security professionals who strolled through the aisles at the 2005 International Security Conference & Exposition West contributed to an 11-percent increase in attendees in comparison to last year's show.
This year the show also expanded its geographic borders. ISC recorded international representation from more than 75 countries. According to Reed Exhibitions, international attendance increased to 13 percent of total attendance compared with 11 percent in 2004.

EXTON, Pa. - As part of the company's effort to attain UL-listing, The Protection Bureau upgraded its central station software to Micro Key Software's Millennium platform and at the same time received its 12th-million alarm signal.

GERMANTOWN, Md. - Following the acquisition of NKF Electronics, Optelecom changed its name to Optelecom-NKF to better reflect the impact of the deal on the merged company's product line and geographic reach.

ST-AUGUSTIN, Quebec - The deadline has come and gone for Securex’s offer to purchase up to 971,050 shares of Microtec Enterprises, a provider of residential and commercial security services.

SALT LAKE CITY - A judge this week dismissed charges against Jeff Howe, the Peak Alarm Co. central station manager accused of providing false information to police.
