PLANO, Texas—Acre Security, a global provider of integrated security technology, announced that Kumar Sokka has officially assumed the role of chief executive officer.

This transition marks the next step in a planned leadership evolution, reflecting Acre’s continued focus on long-term growth, innovation, and customer success, the company noted in its announcement.

Acre SecuritySince joining Acre in 2024, Sokka has overseen two of the company’s core business units - Comnet and Intrusion - while playing a key role on the executive leadership team. He brings more than two decades of experience scaling enterprise software businesses, leading digital innovation, and building high-performing, customer-centric teams.

Sokka succeeds John Skowronski, who has served as interim CEO since August 2024, helping to sharpen Acre’s go-to-market execution and product focus. He will now serve as an advisor to the board of directors, continuing to support the company’s long-term vision.

As CEO, Sokka will lead the next chapter of Acre’s growth. His focus will include deepening customer and partner relationships and advancing a unified platform strategy that bridges today’s systems with tomorrow’s connected ecosystems. By integrating access control, identity, and intrusion, Acre is helping customers modernize at their own pace - offering smarter, more adaptable security without sacrificing stability.

“It’s a privilege to step into this role at such an exciting time for Acre,” said Sokka. “We have a strong foundation and an extraordinary team. Now it’s about clarity, focus, and execution - staying close to our customers, doubling down on innovation, and unlocking what’s next for the future of security. I’m excited for what’s ahead.”
