Gamewell-FCI to hold MNS seminars

NORTHFORD, Conn.—Gamewell-FCI, Honeywell's fire alarm manufacturing division, plans to host a series of seminars aimed to educate engineers, facility managers and security directors on emergency management planning and response and the most effective use of mass notification technologies, according to a company statement.

The half-day seminars, which include 4.0 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits for attendees, will walk participants through the initial emergency management planning process, as well as an evaluation of current procedures. In addition, attendees will learn how to perform risk assessment, and how best to deploy mass notification technologies. 

The seminars will cover relevant statutes such as the SAFETY Act and the Clery Act, and will assess the capabilities and components of various mass notification systems, according to the statement. 

Seminars are currently planned for the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, and Washington. For more information, visit www.gamewell-fci.com.
