Honeywell VISTA now compatible with Savant home automation

MELVILLE, N.Y.— Honeywell VISTA home security panels now are compatible with Savant Systems home automation systems, giving installers more options for creating connected home solutions, Honeywell announced Jan. 28.
The combination of VISTA with Savant's Apple-based technologies provides enhanced security functions and allows installers to offer automation and multi-zone audio and video, increasing the value of sales, according to the statement.
“Home automation is increasingly becoming an expectation for security customers, but homeowners aren't interested in replacing reliable security systems they've had for years just to obtain it,” said Alan Stoddard, Honeywell Security Products, Americas, senior marketing director, in a prepared statement. “This combined offering allows them to incorporate the latest in home automation alongside a proven system that keeps them safe.”
The Savant Systems equipment is supported with these residential and commercial VISTA panels: VISTA-15P, 20P, 21iP, 128BPT, 250BPT and equivalent models sold by First Alert Professional dealers, according to the release.
