NEW YORK and SAN MATEO, Calif.—Bot and fraud prevention companies HUMAN Security, Inc. and PerimeterX have announced their merger.

Combined, the two companies will boast over 450 employees serving more than 500 customers and $100-plus million dollars in annual recurring revenue. With it, they hope to combat the swiftly rising incidents of bot attacks and fraud incidents affecting the technology sphere.

“The merger of these great companies brings together two exceptional teams of humans to accelerate the vision for our Human Defense Platform and to solve some of the most important security challenges for the internet,” said HUMAN CEO and Co-Founder Tamer Hassan. “Together, we will deliver on our shared purpose of disrupting the economics of cybercrime, and we will offer enhanced protection for our combined global customers with an unparalleled modern defense strategy.” Hassan will remain as CEO of the company going forward under the HUMAN brand.

HUMAN was originally founded in 2012 as White Ops before changing the company name in early 2021. The company advocates for a collective form of protection with companies working together to prevent attacks by bot nets, such as the sophisticated PARETO botnet it helped foil with the help of Roku, Google, and its Human Collective. HUMAN says it verifies more than 15 trillion interactions a week from its client companies.

PerimeterX was founded in San Mateo in 2014. Among its anti-fraud activities, the company’s research team discovered a new silent validation carding bot attack in June of this year which it was able to intercept and stop.

“The PerimeterX mission has been to protect the apps that power our daily lives with a portfolio of comprehensive application protection solutions that detect and stop the abuse of identity and account information on the web,” said Omri Iluz, PerimeterX co-founder and CEO. “With HUMAN’s vision and successful approach to modern defense safeguarding enterprises and internet platforms from attacks, it’s clear that we should be allies.”

Iluz will act as the president and general manager of Enterprise Security for the merged company. “I look forward to joining HUMAN’s Board of Directors with our CTO, Ido Safruti. With the combined companies’ mission-focused teams, industry-leading products and complementary technology, we’re going to be an unstoppable force against cybercriminals.” he said.

Both companies’ board of directors have approved the merger and have received regulatory approval. For more information, visit https://www.humansecurity.com/.
