Mission 500, ADI team up to raise over $97K for children in need

MIAMI—Mission 500, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to serving children and communities in need across the U.S., teamed up with diamond sponsor ADI Global Distribution to raise more than $97,000 to support underprivileged children and promote corporate social responsibility across the security industry.

Headquartered in Melville, N.Y., ADI is a leading global wholesale distributor of security, AV and low-voltage products. Mission 500 has partnered with ADI for three consecutive years, and ADI received the Mission 500 Corporate Social Responsibility Award last year for its continued efforts.

As part of its annual Kickoff and Supplier Symposium held earlier this year, ADI hosted a virtual fundraiser and invited team members across the company, along with its suppliers, to support the initiative. Team members made donations and with a generous 1:1 company match, the ADI team contributed $28,600. In addition, ADI called upon its suppliers to support the efforts with sponsorships at varying levels that generated $68,500.

“The work that Mission 500 does to assist families and children is inspiring,” said Bob Appleby, Vice President and General Manager of ADI North America. “It was an honor to see our team and suppliers so generously support this initiative. This partnership is a testimony of our industry’s commitment to help keep our communities safe and secure, and also see them thrive.”

Team members and suppliers across Canada also contributed to the success of this initiative. As a result, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish Canada, a charitable organization that creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

“On behalf of everyone at Make-A-Wish Canada, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone at ADI and Mission 500 for helping us to continue to make wishes happen across the country,” noted Dave Maharaj, Manager, National Corporate Alliances. “We are so grateful to each of you and for your support of our mission to provide life changing wishes for children with critical illnesses,”

“We are humbled and beyond grateful to ADI, its team members and suppliers for their support of Mission 500,” added Janet Fenner, Co-Chair of the Mission 500 Board. “On behalf of the entire Mission 500 organization, we thank everyone who offered their time and resources to make this event so successful. It was amazing.”
