Security Partners to open fourth location

Security Partners to open fourth location Las Vegas as the strategic next step

LANCASTER, Pa.—Security Partners announced Nov. 25 that it is opening a new 7,424- square-foot central station in Las Vegas, adding to its national network of three other locations.

“The fourth operation center is the next step in our long-term vision and game plan to have strategically located operation centers throughout the U.S.,” Mike Bodnar, president of Security Partners told Security Systems News. Bodnar said that vision probably would include a fifth location.

“We anticipate steady growth to our dealer account base, thanks to the addition of [this location],” said Bodnar.

Security Partners is converting an out-of-use government data center to a central station and expects it to come online in mid-March, prior to ISC West, Bodnar said, mentioning “exciting plans” for an April grand opening.

The new site, which Bodnar described as a stand-alone building close to the Las Vegas Strip, will service dealers and add accounts by it's mid-March opening, he said.

“Though we explored several cities and locations in the western U.S. as potential new sites for our expansion, Nevada's favorable business environment, amenities, affordable cost of living and lifestyle options for our team members made Las Vegas the clear choice,” he said.

Bob Schott, director of information technologies at Security Partners, told SSN that Security Partners plans to have its three current locations and the Las Vegas central station connected into one network by the second quarter of 2015.

In terms of redundancy, each of the four locations should be able to handle the traffic of every other Security Partners location, said Schott.

Both Bodnar and Schott referred to their newest location as a “jewel” and a “fortress.”

“I've built probably 15 central stations in my career in the industry and this is, by far, going to be the jewel,” said Schott.

Security Partners has monitoring centers in Lancaster, in Anaheim, Calif., and in San Antonio, all of which are UL listed and CSAA Five Diamond certified. The plan is to bring this Las Vegas location up to those standards as well, according to Bodnar.

When asked what Security Partners' growth is attributed to, Bodnar said, “Over the last year, our rapid growth is thanks, in large part, to the continued growth and support of our existing dealer network.”
