Select Security restructures management Company positions itself for continued growth this year

LANCASTER, Pa.—Select Security, a super-regional based here, announced changes to its senior leadership team, part of a restructuring of the company in preparation for continued growth this year. The company recently reached $1m in RMR, following several years of rapid growth both organically and through acquisition.

Alex Nitterhouse has been named director of sales, and Bob Grove was named director of field operations and training.

“Over the past few years Select Security has quickly grown from a small company into a multi-state regional organization,” Steve Firestone, Select Security president said in a prepared statement. “The promotion of Alex and Bob into roles where they have responsibility across our entire enterprise will allow us to exponentially grow faster than ever before, while maintaining the outstanding customer service and experience we are proud to be known for.”

Nitterhouse, previously the general manager for Select Security's Eastern Region, has been with Select Security since 2009. Prior to that, Nitterhouse managed one of the most successful Porsche/Audi dealerships in the country. In his new role, he will manage sales across Select Security's 10 branch locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.

“With my years of sales experience, I enjoy helping not just those in our community get the security solutions they need, but also our sales team grow and learn,” Nitterhouse said in a prepared statement.

Grove joined Select Security in 2003 as an installation technician and quickly rose through the ranks, most recently serving as the technical training manager. In addition to retaining his training responsibilities, Grove now oversees more than 60 technicians and managers of the operations team. In his new role, Grove will ensure a high level of efficiency and a positive customer experience for all installation and service work.

“Throughout my career with Select Security I've had experience in both the field, and in the corporate office,” Grove said in a prepared statement. “I understand the challenges faced by our operations staff, and the importance of providing our customers with a positive experience.”

Founded in 2003, Select Security has offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia, and four redundant monitoring centers.
