Show, don’t tell

Show, don’t tell

Let me just say that in these fraught and uncertain times, I am absolutely thrilled to write a security blog discussing two chuckle heads caught on kiss cam.

Yes, you really can’t escape it this week, the workplace drama is strong! And I think everyone was happy for some distraction. If nothing else the shock and realization on the faces of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot as they were caught in elicit embrace at a Coldplay concert will give me a warm little smile now and then. The memes alone will outlive us all.

Privacy is increasingly hard to come by in this post 9/11, post internet, post AI world where literally everything is monitored, analyzed, and documented. That’s mostly thanks to us in the security industry, for good or ill. It should be noted however that there’s no expectation of privacy in public, that’s why it’s called public. You shouldn’t be too shocked when that comes back to bite you (Also they’re definitely going to sweep the expensive seats for camera opportunities, you’ve got to be slumming it if you’ve got something to hide).

Does anyone offer executive's protection from themselves? I feel like there’s a market for that.

Cliff notes for everyone so far: Everything in public is fair game (mostly). Except for that weird guy with the silver trailer that threatened to shoot me. I mean, I COULD have taken that picture, but I wasn’t ready to call that bluff, and wasn’t trying to photograph him anyway? The county fairgrounds are wild y’all.
