PHILADELPHIA — ZeroEyes has announced the deployment of its AI-based gun detection platform by Iowa’s Westwood Community School District (CSD) to protect students and faculty against gun-related threats.
The all-in-one K–12 campus serves 575 students and 115 staff members, and has added ZeroEyes to its multi-layered security approach that includes a school resource officer (SRO), the AEGIX AIM emergency management platform, SafeSchools Alert incident reporting system, a visitor check-in security background system, and adherence to the I Love You Guys emergency response protocol.
“ZeroEyes’ ability to seamlessly integrate with our AEGIX AIM security app and provide real-time alerts in the event of a potential threat adds a critical layer of proactive protection for our staff and students,” said Jay Lutt, Superintendent of Westwood CSD. “This added safety measure aligns with our mission to help every student reach their fullest potential by fostering a secure environment. The response from our community and parents has been overwhelmingly supportive.”
“We are proud to support Westwood Community School District in its mission to enhance school safety,” said Mike Lahiff, CEO and co-founder of ZeroEyes. “We commend the district for taking a proactive approach and are honored to provide our solution to a community that shares our unwavering commitment to protecting students and educators.”
