ARCO marks 30 years in business

PROVO, Utah—ARCO Lock & Security is celebrating more than 30 years in business, marking a milestone that reflects its longstanding focus on protecting homes and businesses across Utah and Arizona.

Founded in 1995 as a locksmith operation, the company has expanded its offerings over the years to include residential and commercial security solutions, access control systems, alarm monitoring and business security technologies.

Despite advances in smart home and commercial security technology, ARCO says its customer-first approach remains unchanged.

“Thirty years ago, security meant a good lock and a locksmith who showed up when he said he would,” said Adam Smith, owner of ARCO Lock & Security. “That part hasn’t changed. We still believe in doing the job right and treating every customer with respect.”

While the company has broadened its commercial security offerings, ARCO emphasized its continued commitment to homeowners seeking reliable protection. The company serves residential customers with locksmith services, smart lock solutions and monitored security systems designed to help safeguard homes and families.

According to ARCO, its growth over the past three decades has been driven by a combination of hands-on service and adoption of newer technologies, including cloud-based access control, mobile-managed security systems and real-time alerts.

Today, the company provides security and locksmith services throughout Utah and parts of Arizona, maintaining that local service and responsiveness remain critical as it expands into new communities.

“We don't take on a new community lightly,” Smith said. “Before we ever put our name on a truck in Avondale, Anthem or Sun City, we made sure we had the technicians and response times to back it up.”

ARCO said all customers, including homeowners, have access to free phone technical support, a service the company has maintained as security systems have become increasingly connected and technology driven.

The company's anniversary comes as residential security continues to evolve, with homeowners increasingly adopting smart locks, remote monitoring capabilities and app-based security management.
