SILVER SPRING, Md.—The Security Industry Association (SIA) has named Stephenie Haldane, vice president of end user sales at HID, as the recipient of the 2026 SIA Progress Award, recognizing her contributions to advancing opportunities for women in the security industry.
Haldane will be honored Nov. 4 at SIA Honors Night in New York City, held in conjunction with ISC East. The award, presented by SIA's Women in Security Forum (WISF), recognizes individuals who help pave the way for women's success through mentorship, leadership and advocacy.
At HID, Haldane leads efforts focused on customer engagement, key vertical markets and physical access solutions. She brings nearly 30 years of experience in sales, business development and leadership roles across the security industry. Prior to joining HID, she launched a division within ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions focused on electronic access control for the senior living market.
Beyond her professional role, Haldane serves on the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) board of directors, where she leads campus outreach initiatives. She is also a member of the WISF SupportHER Subcommittee and mentors both through SIA's RISE community and HID's internal mentorship program.
"I am honored to receive the SIA Progress Award," Haldane said. "Real progress takes intentional effort: opening doors for women, making room for new voices and helping students see a future for themselves in the security industry."
SIA Board Chair Mike Mathes said Haldane has demonstrated a commitment to expanding opportunities for women and attracting new talent to the industry.
"By engaging allies, advancing opportunities for women and helping attract the next generation of talent, she is strengthening our entire industry," Mathes said. "We're proud to recognize her with the 2026 SIA Progress Award."
The Progress Award recognizes SIA members who have demonstrated excellence in advancing opportunities for women through mentorship, sponsorship, professional development and industry leadership. Haldane was also named a 2026 SIA WISF Power 100 honoree.
