BRS Labs announces summer seminar series

HOUSTON—Behavioral Recognition Systems Labs, a developer of security solutions software and artificial intelligence, has announced its 2013 IP Video Surveillance Academy summer seminar series.

Presented in conjunction with IPVSA, a best-practices organization for video surveillance practitioners, the seminars are designed for security professionals seeking to integrate intelligent surveillance into large-scale safety and security technology deployments, BRS said in a news release.

The seminars will be held in Portland, Ore., on July 22; Seattle on July 24; Vancouver, British Columbia on July 26; Minneapolis on Aug. 14; and Chicago on Aug. 15.

The summer 2013 topic, “Freedom of Choice,” focuses on how standards-based, open API products deliver scalability that is essential for flexible solutions. Attendees will learn the best practices necessary to build video surveillance solutions that protect against current and future threats, BRS said.

In March 2012, BRS closed a $2 million deal to supply behavioral recognition systems for 12 San Francisco train stations.
