BALTIMORE—ESX has announced the contestants for its TechVision Challenge, a “Shark-Tank” style competition new at this year's show.

The challenge pits 10 companies—each already winning an ESX Innovation Award—against each other in presenting their latest innovations to a panel of judges. The winner will be crowned “Best of Show” during the Electronic Security Expo June 24-26 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

“The TechVision Challenge is new this year. We anticipate a lively competition among the participants who represent some of the top innovations in our industry,” George De Marco, ESX chairman, said in a prepared statement.

In the “access control” category, ZKAccess will present its BioCam300. Under “digital health and wellbeing systems,” Essence will present its Care@Home product. Bold Technologies, in “home electronics, control systems & networking,” will showcase WebProtectMe: Powered by Bold. In the “mobile apps for consumers/end users” category, IBS has its Safe and Secure offering. In “monitoring,” I-View Now will present its integration with Honeywell Total Connect. The “video surveillance” category is represented by Honeywell Security Group and its MAXPRO Cloud.

There are four contestants in the “intrusion systems” category. DynaQuip will present its WaterCopPRO integration, Interlogix will exhibit its Zero Wire, OPTEX brings forward its SL-650QDM and Resolution Products competes with its HeliPAD Wireless Security Keypad.
