Global Security Operations Summit to return this November

IRVING, Texas – An office furniture company, Vari (formerly VariDesk) is once again hosting their live Global Security Operations event on November 2 and 3, 2022.

The event returns this year having paused briefly due to the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic. The intimate summit hosts up to 50 different regional, national, and global experts from fields including corporate/physical security managers, CSO’s, and directors.

“Vari works to bring the vision of happier, healthier, and more productive workspaces to life. That totally aligns with a key corporate security objective, which is safe and productive workplaces. Additionally, Vari innovations are defining the workplace of the future, and that future vision is part of what we present in our 3- to 5-year look ahead at where security leadership and physical security technology are going,” Ray Bernard, founder of GSO Events, Inc. said. “In fact, Vari office furnishings are what makes it possible to quickly change our event meal and work session spaces into three different configurations during the event. This way we can keep the same meeting space but have different room setups for our Security Leadership sessions, our Hands-On Technology Lab demonstrations, and our attendee networking and technology discussions all in the same space.”

One of the Key topics on discussion at this year’s summit are the roles of security in company culture Improvement. To that end Vari’s president and COO Jeff Lamb will be addressing the company culture topic during the first day’s leadership sessions. He joins a group of accomplished security professionals like Derric Wright, Senior Director DEI and former Senior Director – EHS, Security, & DEA Compliance – Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA as a day one session leader.

Day two will be a hands-on technology lab with real world scenarios for demonstration purposes that showcase advanced technologies that have arrived at what GSO organizers call a watershed moment in the history of physical security. “For the past 50 years, nearly all physical security technology deployments have been compromised for five key reasons, including low tech capabilities and high costs. Now – thanks to the exponential advancement of technology – those reasons are gone and the only limitation on security technology effectiveness now is our own thinking.” They wrote.

Guests will be afforded plenty of time for networking opportunities and are provided with breakfast and lunch on both days. For more information about participation at the summit and a full agenda of the days events please visit www.gsoevents.com.
