RAD releases AI-powered tracking feature

DETROIT – Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD), a subsidiary of Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions, Inc. (AITX), have announced the release of their new AI-based analytic providing tracking features for vehicles and humans.

The analytic is being added to a list of provisional patent applications being filed by AITX very soon. It solves what the company said are two challenges important to end users and security operations centers (SOC): The reduction of false positive alarms, and advanced functionality to detection stolen cars, new vehicles, and people entering spaces with existing cars and persons. The company said that it believes that functionality is unique to the market, although they may be wrong.

AITX also said that the tracking functionality has been successfully tested at several locations in the US and is being made available to all subscribed RAD clients. They said that they’ve identified 31 ROSA devices that the analytic will be deploying on in the coming weeks.

“Although we deploy hardware as a device-as-a-service model, at our core AITX is a software company,” said Steve Reinharz, CEO of AITX and RAD. “Surveillance systems have struggled to reduce what are referred to as ‘false positives’, where slight or typical movement of an object triggers an alert. This is particularly troublesome when observing the movement, or non-movement of vehicles. This new analytic knows when a vehicle is on the move or remaining in place. We have made incredible advancements to reduce the instances of false positives.”
