Vivint raises $1.5 million for charitable ventures

PROVO, Utah—Vivint today announced it raised $1.5 million through its 2012 Vivint Gives Back “Year of Service” Initiative, according to a company statement. The money was generated solely through employee contributions and Vivint corporate matches.

The $1.5 million was distributed to 20 different international relief organizations, including a $200,000 cash donation to The Global Poverty Project, a group dedicated to eliminating extreme poverty.

Vivint partnered with numerous charitable organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, the Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Tapestries of Life for several ventures. In addition, Vivint employees took part in international service projects in Ghana and Guatemala.
