Cunningham Security buys S.W. Alarms, expands in southeastern Mass

FALMOUTH, Maine – Cunningham Security Systems has acquired S.W. Alarms, a longtime provider of security, fire alarm, surveillance and access-control services based in Pembroke, Mass.

The acquisition expands Cunningham's presence in Plymouth County and southeastern Massachusetts, while preserving the local relationships and technical knowledge of S.W. Alarms, the company says.

"S.W. Alarms built its reputation by taking care of customers personally and standing behind its work," said Dan Major, an owner of Cunningham Security Systems. "Our goal is to preserve those relationships, keep familiar people involved and give customers access to the additional resources of a larger regional organization. Steve and Michael bring valuable experience and customer knowledge to our team, and we are pleased they will continue serving the communities they know."

S.W. Alarms founder Steve Wescott and his son, Michael Wescott, will continue working with Cunningham and serving customers throughout the region. The existing S.W. Alarms location will remain in use for inventory and technician dispatch, providing operational continuity alongside Cunningham's Massachusetts service network.

S.W. Alarms customers will continue receiving support for existing systems while gaining access to Cunningham's broader residential and commercial capabilities, including professionally monitored security systems, commercial fire alarm installation and inspection, security cameras, access control, environmental detection and remote video monitoring.

Cunningham also operates an office in Pocasset, supporting Cape Cod, Plymouth County and Southeastern Massachusetts.
