HOMEWOOD, Pa.—Authorities here said a home security system helped police catch a burglary suspect early Wednesday morning, according to an article from WXPI, a news station based in Pittsburgh.
Officers were dispatched to a house just after 3 a.m. March 6 when the home's alarm system went off, according to the police report. The keypad informed the victim that the alarm's activation point was his garage.

PATASKALA, Ohio—Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a central Ohio man who was killed after going to a rental property to check on a possible break-in, according to multiple news reports.
Upon being alerted by his alarm company of a break-in at 7 a.m., property-owner Tom Miller rushed over to the storage barn.
