Identiv selling physical security business to Vitaprotech for $145 million

FREMONT, Calif.—Global digital security and identification provider Identiv has entered into a definitive asset purchase agreement to sell its physical security, access card, and identity reader operations and assets to security solutions provider Vitaprotech for $145 million.
Identiv noted that the proceeds from the sale will significantly strengthen its financial position, generating capital to fund future organic and inorganic growth of its specialty IoT solutions business.

Safran, L-1 merger gets final go-ahead

PARIS—Safran has cleared the last hurdle in its acquisition of L-1 Identity Solutions, a Stamford, Conn.-based biometrics company, and expects to close the deal by the end of next week.
Final approval came from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, which yesterday notified Safran, based in Paris, that its investigation of the transaction is complete and it found no unresolved national security concerns.
