Industry favors women in the workplace

YARMOUTH, Maine—Readers responded positively when Security Systems News asked in its latest News Poll about women in the security industry. Many respondents have women in their company in executive roles, including some who are mentoring other females, and a vast majority said gender diversity is helpful for business.

Time to nominate for WSC Women of the Year awards

TAMPA, Fla.—Nominations are now open for the Women's Security Council's2015 Women of the Year awards, given to women who have exhibited leadership in the physical security industry and at their companies.
The awards, also based on recipients' contributions in mentoring and supporting other women in the security field, will be presented at a WSC 2015 Networking Reception at ISC West in Las Vegas in April.
