Tyco wants to invest in your startup

BOCA RATON, Fla.—Tyco Security Products announced yesterday that it wants to invest in tech startups and other “innovators.” TSP, a division of Tyco International, launched InnovationWorks, a program designed to “help innovators and entrepreneurs bring new and advanced ideas to the marketplace.” TSP is soliciting applicants who will present their “business ideas and goals” at the InnovationWorks Summit that will take place during ISC West (April 15-17)...

Integrators: Making money on big security data

When I met with my TechSec advisory board this past summer to talk about TechSec 2014, one of the topics the group wanted to make sure we talked about was big data. We had an excellent primer on big data at TechSec 2013, thanks to Axis' Steve Surfaro and EMC's Patrick Snow.
