Verizon securing nation's homes

It was big news in January when Telecom giant Verizon debuted its new home security/home automation offering at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Now it's even bigger news that the company has finished beta testing the product in New Jersey and launched it for real to Verizon broadband customers nationwide in mid-October.

Gamewell-FCI: Retrofit Kit saves time, money

NORTH WINDHAM, Conn.—Fire Alarm Specialty Design says that using Gamewell-FCI's new IF600 Retrofit Kit to upgrade a fire alarm panel at a nearby school saved the customer money and the company about six hours of labor.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—In its traditional spot at the front of the ESX show floor, the Honeywell booth was crowded with dealers on June 8. Several Honeywell executives were at the booth and eager to show off Total Connect 2.0, the company's new technology platform that allows home and business owners to remotely manage their security systems and view live video via PCs, smartphones, tablets and other web-enabled devices.
