ESA names Mike Keegan as 2025 Sara E. Jackson Award winner

DALLAS—The Electronic Security Association (ESA) has announced that this year’s Sara E. Jackson Award recipient is Mike Keegan, vice president of security product sales for Magnasphere Corp.

Industry veteran mourned

We at Security Systems News were very saddened to learn about the sudden passing of David Merrick, marketing director for Pittsburgh-based Vector Security. A veteran of the industry, he was a member of our Editorial Advisory Board, a great source of knowledge, and also just an all-around nice guy. He'll be missed.

Happy 30th anniversary, Pennsylvania Burglar & Fire Alarm Association!
The association is one of the oldest such organizations in the industry, according to its executive director Dale Eller. So it's got a lot to celebrate and is using its annual expo in June to do that. Here's more from a news release the group sent out today:
